History
The Doolittle Community Baseball League (DCBL),
was established in the year of 2003 by its
President Gene Collins and founding members.
It was Mr. Collins foresight that brought the
DCBL league into existence for the youth in
urban areas. He is a humanitarian and
community advocate who has made a difference
in the lives of the youth. Playing baseball in
semi pro leagues taught Gene a lot about life
and as a result became his blue print. He
learned key elements in sports such as,
fundamentals and discipline equals winning. He
made a commitment that through his works, he
would pass this knowledge to those who may
require it the most.
Gene has also served the Las Vegas community
in the capacity of a NAACP president, National
Action Network State Chairman, Nevada State
Assemblyman, Economic Opportunity Board (board
member), Co-founder Community Baseball League
and Community Activist.
