REQUIREMENTS FOR A DCBL COACH
Requirements for a DCBL coach.
1. Must be age 21 are older.
2. Ability to teach baseball techniques,
baseball rules, baseball strategies and
playing
tactics. Ability to teach sportsmanship,
cooperation and responsibility to team
members.
3. Demonstrates through experience, a
commitment to devote long hours and weekends
to
the baseball program.
4. Conducts a pre-season and post season
baseball conditioning program.
5. Ability to supervise and conduct safe
practices and games.
6. Ability to accurately assess the talents
and abilities of team members.
7. Ability to display competency in coaching
knowledge of the rules and regulations..
8. Ability to respond to player injuries by
using first aid techniques.
9. Must be able to maintain uniforms and
equipment.
10. Must be able to supervise team members.
11. Must be able to monitor team members’
grades and personal conduct.
12. Provides effective leadership to team
members to ensure their efforts of ongoing
improvement of the program.
13. Conducts other duties as assigned by head
coach. education forum is designed to
develop life skills that will help the team
members build self respect, make responsible
decisions and manage social behaviors.
